Review by hotel critic
Having recently stayed at Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows, I found the location to be superb, with a beautiful beach right at your doorstep. the resort offered a classic Hawaiian experience at a reasonable price, ideal for those looking for a traditional retreat. the staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay enjoyable despite a few hiccups. The room we stayed in was comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean, providing a relaxing spot to unwind after a day of exploring. However, there were some issues with cleanliness and maintenance, with a strange smell in the room and bugs appearing in our friend's bed unexpectedly. the shower experience was not great, with a tiny space and a forceful shower head that felt like it could do some damage! Despite these shortcomings, the resort's amenities and services were commendable. the Alana Spa offered a variety of soothing massages, perfect for relaxation after a long day. the beachfront setting allowed for delightful "toes in the sand" dining experiences, adding to the overall charm of the place. With its ongoing renovations and prime location on Kaanapali beach, it has the potential to be a top-notch destination for those seeking a laid-back island retreat.
